I was tasked in picture editing class to act as picture editor for the Chicago Tribune that has been working with photographer Vincent Alban, an RIT alum, who has pitched a story about the press facilities at the Freedom Center, which are due to close. The story was to run in print and digital platforms, and will be promoted on social channels.
For this assignment, I was to editing down the whole take, which include journalistic images documenting the Freedom Center press operation, the Schaumburg operation, the sorting center, newspaper delivery, the Tribune archive, and a reunion of press operators from over the years at the Billy Goat Tavern, into two edit sizes, create two web layouts and two print layouts as well as social media posts for promotion of the story.
